Treatment Of Incurable Diseases Possible Through Ayurveda, Says Dr. Sheikh On Bharat Podcast

Mathura: Ayurveda offers treatment possibilities for several serious and chronic diseases, claimed Ayurvedic physician Dr. Sheikh during a conversation on Bharat Podcast. He discussed the use of Ayurvedic approaches for conditions including cancer, diabetes, thyroid disorders, tuberculosis (TB), asthma, and various sexual health concerns affecting both men and women.

Dr. Sheikh said that his family has been associated with Ayurveda for nearly 120 to 130 years. According to him, Sahara Pharmacy is GMP and ISO certified and operates around 40 clinics in India and abroad. He stressed the need to give greater recognition and importance to traditional systems of medicine such as Ayurveda.

While discussing diabetes, Dr. Sheikh emphasized the importance of dietary and lifestyle changes. He mentioned traditionally used ingredients such as fenugreek seeds, bitter gourd and Vijaysar, adding that a disciplined routine and balanced diet can play an important role in managing lifestyle-related health conditions.

The podcast also covered TB and asthma, with Dr. Sheikh sharing his views and experiences regarding traditional Ayurvedic approaches. However, TB is a serious infectious disease that requires proven medical treatment under professional supervision, and prescribed medicines should not be discontinued without consulting a qualified doctor.

Dr. Sheikh also spoke about sexual health issues affecting men and women, including leucorrhoea, irregular menstruation, nocturnal emissions, erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. He advised people to seek appropriate medical consultation and cautioned against using sexual-performance medicines without professional guidance.

He also expressed concern over the increasing commercialization of healthcare and what he described as unnecessary medical tests. According to him, the primary objective of healthcare should always be to provide patients with appropriate and necessary treatment. He also advised parents to remain aware of their children’s online activities and maintain open communication with them.

Calling Ayurveda an important part of India’s ancient medical heritage, Dr. Sheikh said there is a need for greater awareness and modern research into traditional medicine. The Bharat Podcast conversation covered a wide range of topics related to Ayurveda, lifestyle, diet and overall health.

However, patients with serious conditions such as cancer, TB or diabetes should consult a qualified medical professional before adopting alternative treatments or stopping any prescribed medication.
